Research Specialization: Biomedical Materials, Bone-Tissue RegenerationDr. Sanchita Bandyopadhyay-Ghosh is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur. She pursued her PhD from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK with the prestigious ‘Overseas Research Scholarship’. Before joining Sheffield, she was awarded Pre-doctoral Fellowship from University of Leuven, Belgium.
Prof. Subrata Bandhu Ghosh
Research Specialization: Biomedical Materials, Bone-Tissue RegenerationDr. Subrata Bandhu Ghosh is working as a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur. He pursued his M.Tech. from IIT Delhi, following which, he was awarded Pre-doctoral Fellowship from University of Leuven, Belgium to work on polymeric composites. Upon completion of his Pre-doctoral program, Dr. Ghosh joined the University of Sheffield, UK to purse his PhD on durability of glass fibre reinforced polymeric composites.
Injectable Hydrogel Scaffold
Injectable bio-nano-composite hydrogels are synthesized using physical as well as chemical cross linking techniques for irregular nonload bearing bone defects. They are noninvasive bone implants thereby reducing the bone healing time
Bioprinting Tissues using Novel Bioink
The project aims to develop enzymatically cross linked novel hybrid bioinks to fabricate 3D bioprinted scaffolds with high cell viability and load bearing capacity.

The project aims to develop non-biotoxic and healing-accelerating 3D bone scaffolds made from novel biomaterials
