Dr. Subrata Bandhu Ghosh is working as a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur. He pursued his M. Tech. from IIT Delhi, following which, he was awarded Pre-doctoral Fellowship from University of Leuven, Belgium to work on polymeric composites. During this tenure, he also joined the European Postgraduate Course in Polymer and Composite Engineering at Leuven, jointly run by several leading European universities. Upon completion of his Pre-doctoral program, Dr. Ghosh joined the University of Sheffield, UK to purse his PhD on durability of glass fibre reinforced polymeric composites. Following his PhD, he joined the University of Toronto, Canada as a Post-doctoral Fellow and later as a Research Scientist, where he handled several industry projects on bioplastics and automotive polymeric composites. He also joined the 'Advanced Technology Group' at Canadian General Tower Ltd., Canada towards leading the collaborative industrial projects on high-performance automotive foam product development. His experience was critical to carry out the multi-institutional R&D programs both from industrial and academic perspectives. Following his return to India, he joined as a faculty at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and later at Manipal University Jaipur.

Dr. Subrata Bandhu Ghosh has initiated several research programs on sustainable manufacturing, 3D printed biocomposites, flame retardant foam, light-weight tiles, microcellular bioplastics, and rubber nanocomposites. Additionally, he served as the founding Director (Research) at Manipal University Jaipur. His research and development initiatives have been recognized by awards such as 'Outstanding Potential for Excellence in Research and Academics' award by BITS Pilani, and 'Industrial Secondment Award' by 'Royal Academy of Engineering', U.K. Dr. Subrata Bandhu Ghosh has initiated collaborative research programs with various research groups and industries in India and abroad. His works have been published in several leading international journals, conferences and patents. He is also the co-founder of two start-up companies, NeuvoMatIC Solutions Private Limited and Go-Green Products Private Limited. With the synergistic approach between biobased materials and nanotechnology, his group is engaged in developing next generation sustainable products.
